Morning!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I had a beautiful wedding on Saturday and then a day filled with not so much stuff yesterday and it really couldn’t have been better.
In the time it took me to write those two sentences I heard this bellowed from the couch downstairs (because the lazy want for nothings couldn’t even be bother to get UP off their butts and at least bellow at the bottom of the stairs).
Thing one: “MOM!!”
“WHAT??!!??”
“Can I use you computer?” This was bellowed approximately 3 minutes after I told my precious children that they were on their own, that they had about 30 minutes of TV time left and that I was going to WORK in my office.
“Um. NO. No you can’t. Not even a little. But feel free to your your OWN computer that is on a desk in your room and that you won’t use because there is a half of a second lag time when uploading things and you can’t in your electronically spoiled and astounding space aged ungratefulness bear the thought of sitting still and waiting for anything for 3 seconds”.
Thing two: “MOM!!”
“What“??!!
“Can I have one of those glass bottled Cokes now?” This bellowed about 10 minutes after the LAST time he bellowed that same question at me from across the room and was answered with a…
“ NO! Go get yourself some orange juice. It is 9:00 for God’s sake. And for the love of it STOP asking me!!”
Right now. Thing two is sitting on a stool DIRECTLY next to me giving me rules about how I can and cannot use my phone which he has adopted as his own and now thing one is in here and they are starting to fight about who knows what about my phone and there is a solid chance that my head might just explode off of the top of my neck.
Summer rules.
I am going to try and lower my blood pressure and I am going to do that by reminding myself that not long ago I was sitting on a little beach on a lake in NH with our best friends and enjoying vacation.
We have the best friends in the world. We really do. They are family and we all complete each other and we all know how rare and amazing it is to have what we all have. On our first family vacation 3 years ago, Linda, in one of her stroke of genius came up with the word LEEJER – Linda, Eddie, Eric, Jeanine, Eric, Rachel and we have adopted it as a way of life. It means so much more than our names..it means leasuire in the best possible way and it what we long for every time we are not together enjoying it.
I promised to shoot all of the kids while we were there and here they are.
This is our beautiful Taegan, Linda and Eddie’s oldest.

There aren’t enough words for how much I love every single one of you.
xo, Rachel

Good stuff Rach.
