I couldn’t wait another second. I’ve already blogged today for crying out loud, but I knew that these pictures were just waiting for me. Calling my name from their cozy little hideout on my G drive. They lured me up here with promises of studio perfection and gorgeous people and I was powerless to resist (I picture a bunch of RAW files dressed up as mermaids and myself a weak of will sailor). I’ve been glued to my chair oh, let’s see, going on about 5 hours now and those seductive little numbers did not disappoint.
I met up with Caitlin and Brian this week to shoot their engagement session and we planned on heading into Boston. What Caitlin and Brian did not know was that I had been praying to the rain gods leading up to our session because I not-so-secretly wanted to get these two into my studio to shoot. All of my devious, self-serving prayers were answered and on my way into Boston to meet them we spoke on the phone and decided to just head to the studio because the sky, holding up it’s end of our little bargain, was threatening. We got there, opened a beer and a bottle of wine and got started. I could not have had more fun with any two other people and I am LOVING what we got. I think the only things I love more than the images are Caitlin and Brian themselves.
Let me just start off here by mentioning why I believe I was hired for Caitlin and Brian’s wedding. No, not my passion for photography. It was, simply, our mutual love for the best show on television, Friday Night Lights.
Caitlin walked into my studio first rocking the cowboy boots and I could have kissed her. Then Brian strolled in wearing a Tim Riggins hottie shirt (and if you don’t know who Tim Riggins is, well, that’s the punishment you get for not watching the show) and I almost lost it all together.
We had a quick costume change and continued on. I seriously could have shot for as long as I have been sitting here tonight.
How pretty is she??
Um. Love. It.
They are awesome.
Thank you so much to the rain god that heard my prayer and smiled down on me.
Thank you a million times more to you Cailtin and Brian, who are the reason I walked out of the building that night and thanked that other God for blessing me and making my dreams come true. You are amazing people and I am lucky to know you (and seriously? the cowboy boots? not sure what I did to deserve that:).
