Morning!

Have I mentioned to you guys that I harbor a HUGE major crush on Josh Elliot from Good Morning America? Love him. All tall, dark and handsome. Mmmmm. Josh and I shared a moment today when they aired a story about a kid with CP who wanted to wrestle and another kid who just GOT it and “wrestled” him and got “pinned” in 18 seconds. By the end of the story I was pretty much sobbing and my kids were laughing at me and as I was begging them through my tears to be nice thoughtful boys who would do something like that for a kid with CP who just wanted to wrestle and not great big jerks with tiny little hearts filled with anything but compassion I noticed Josh wipe a tear from his eye and I fell deeper in love with him.

That is all. Just wanted to share that with you.

I have another crush. This one is alarming and bordering on an obsession. It is scary. It is a baby crush like no other and my feelings just keep getting stronger each time I see him.

Oh, you little baby heart stealer, you. Quit it. Just cut it out right now. I CAN’T take you home even though I know you would like to stay with me forever. I don’t think your mom and dad will let me have you even though I ask nicely all the time and feel, in my heart of hearts, that they have enough kids and that the least they can do is let me borrow you for a few months here and there.  Just until you get to be about Matteo’s age and then I will give you back happily. Luca and Matteo are real cute and will keep them busy during the times that you stay with me. They don’t really need you. WHY are you baby perfection? WHY do you constantly make me wonder if my decision to close up the baby making shop was the right one?

Even though I think it is rude that Carey and Luke won’t let me have their youngest baby I still very much enjoy my visits up to them. Well, ummm…ENJOY might be a strong word. I love to see them all individually and to chat with my girl Carey and Luke.  But, I’ll be honest,  there are more enjoyable things to do then try to get three boys in the same picture. Like skydiving without a chute for instance;)

Kidding…love them all.

I want to bite him.

I am pretty sure he is BEGGING his parents to let me take him home in the picture on the right. Gak! Can’t stand it. These were my first two loves. Matteo on the left and Luca on the right. Luca came back to me..I lost him for about 2 years, that whole “I’m a two year old boy and I would rather be eaten by lions than sit still for you camera” stage is over.  Right now? Matteo is lucky he is so cute. How can all their babies have such different eyes. Isn’t it crazy? I mean..he is the most beautiful child on the planet.

Love you guys! Dominic..don’t be alarmed when you see me wearing a ski mask and climbing through your window in the middle of the night. K?

Good afternoon!

Got a late computer start today so I am going to get right to the point this afternoon.

I haven’t seen my favorite little Alexsa in a while. I love Alexsa. I have loved her for quite some time and when her mom, Alanna got in touch to see if I would be willing to shoot my girl and her new baby brother I was psyched and so on board.

Usually a 2/3 year old newborn combo isn’t the most fun for shooting. Unless it is Alanna’s kids. In which case they just make my shooting life as enjoyable as possible.  Little Alexsa is so kind to me and always just stares up at me with her dark brown eyes and smiles her sweetest little girl smile ever. She melts me. I was fully expecting a little baby boy with dark brown hair and Alexsa’s almost black eyes and THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY HAVE. Somehow they have a blond/blue eyed chubba who had me laughing the whole time. I am still shocked over the baby that I got to meet. I just don’t get it…if he didn’t have his dad’s signature eyebrow I would question some stuff;)

It is hard to believe how big she is now. I think she was about 6 months the first time we shot.

She is just awesome. I am in sheer awe at how many pictures I got of the two of them. If I get one pic of a 3 year old and a baby I am PUMPED. This is unreal. LOOK at Christian!! I can’t stand him! Where did you COME FROM baby boy??? C’mon…be cuter. This was right around the time I changed his name to Micky and gave him a cigar and a boxing gym to manage. Love it.

Congratulations on baby Micky!! You guys are the best..always such a pleasure!

Morning!

Only one kid missed the bus today..so that’s pretty good.

I see it. I see the light at the end of my little editing tunnel …soooo close. It is thrilling, really. If I put my mind to it and just forge ahead these next two days I will be done. I will be at a place where I can say I have NOTHING to edit for the first time in a LONG time. It will only last for like a day because I have a shoot on Friday but at least I will be able to say it. Instead of forging ahead I feel like I want to go out and shop for myself today..because you know, why not buy myself lots of sale items when what I should be doing it a) NOT spending any more money and B) buying stuff for the OTHER people in my life. But neither of those options appeals to me..just like I don’t find sitting all day in front of my computer appealing. Just not hugely interested in it. But I am going to do it. I am. I am not going to go to Derby and find 1 hundred million things that I need at Express. I am NOT. No. Not going to. Edit. Editing all day..that I what I am going to do. Edit. I will NOT find a friend who will have lunch with me at Burtons and then spend money I shouldn’t spend on pretty things for myself. Not doing that. Must just edit the pictures. All the pictures all day long.

What I am going to do first today is share with you the gorgeous wedding of Kristen and Nate. It isn’t often that I show up for a wedding never having met in person either the bride or the groom. I had talked on the phone to Kristen and I knew she was going to be great but I don’t think I expected the level of fun and how comfortable I was going to be with her. It was like..”Oh! There you are…my long lost friend..” when I first saw her on her wedding day. It was like she had always been there and that with her, right next to her, was where I was supposed to be that day.  It was a beautiful day and a gorgeous wedding and we got to shoot EXACTLY how I love to..going for a walk in the coolest place possible, Rockport,  and just seeing what we got. My favorite way to do it.

Kristen was stunning..her dress, her hair, her makeup…everything was just awesome.

Make up perfection by Nick. I WILL update this with his info. You need it. He is a master. LOVED her dress. It was perfect for her. I loved this moment..she was glowing..I always love to watch when it sinks in for a bride..that it is all really REAL to them that THIS is the day and that THEY are really a bride.
Here is handsome Nate. Seriously, Kristen? You look amazing. I twas the PERFECT place for a First Look and the sky could NOT have been more awesome. Sigh. Her eyes are amazing. LOVE these. She is a complete natural in front of the camera. This is one of my absolute favorites from the day. I can’t. TOO adorable. Love. Love me a funny groomsman putting on a show behind me. Seriously. Could there be a better background? This was the first time I had shot at the Cruiseport. It was beautiful. I owe this wedding to Stephanie and Peter on the left! I shot their wedding 3 years ago…(and am currently trying to mind bend them into bringing their new baby in for a shoot…)

Good morning!

Sunny start to the day…I need to go for a run. NEED. So that is what I am going to do right after I show you my sweet and funny little Reece.

You remember this doll face from before..her mom is my friend, Michelle..who seriously, and I am not sure how she does it, seriously gets prettier every time I see her. It is a teeny bit annoying because we are the same age and she appears to be growing younger and making me think I should lay of the wine and go get facials or something.

I love Reece..she makes me happy.

Michelle always kills it on Etsy… I love her..she is like Cindy Lou Who.

Hiiiiiiii. I don’t feel like writing..I am listening to Christmas music  with all of my men and getting the decorating started at casa Buckley and I have nothing good to write about any way..if you are looking for something to read peek at my post that I wrote yesterday.
